Stray Dog on a Trash Pile in Jordan

While en route to Petra, Jordan, my group and I stopped at a Bedouin outpost for a rest stop. Outside of the rest stop, a group of stray puppies were playing and allowed me to get very close and grab some great shots. Some were playing in the trash, while others played in the middle of an infrequently used highway. This female puppy was proudly guarding her pile of trash. As I walked closer, her tail would go between her legs and she would growl, but when I was at a comfortable distance, she let me grab this shot.
