Two fishing boats ferry a jeepney (a common passenger vehicle) to Sabtang Island in Batanes, the smallest and northernmost island province of the Philippines. The precarious chartered transport costs Php6000 (or approximately US$147) for a one-way trip from nearby Batan Island and has been a common method of transporting vehicles like vans and ambulances between the two northern islands in the province, crossing the vast waters where South China Sea and Pacific Ocean meet.
