A Baby in a Thyme

I took this photograph sitting in a meadow of over 200 gelada baboons on a bright, cold morning in the Simien Mountains in north-west Ethiopia. The baboons eat the thyme shoots that grow here and so the air is thick with the scent of thyme. Although this baby was looking straight at me, its mother wasn't far away...
