Autumn in Upstate New York

One of the most spectacular autumn scenes in the United States can be viewed in the Adirondack Mountains between late September and early October. While driving through this region of Upstate New York, I was constantly awed by the incredible beauty and simplicity of the surroundings during this season. Inspired by vibrant colors and sweeping views, many stops were made along the side of the road to photograph and celebrate one of nature's greatest shows in the area, including this scene taken at Saranac Lake.
