Flowing fish school

There was a very high concentration of phytoplankton in the water when I visited Cabo Pulmo turning the water green and lowering light levels all around, but every time the enormous grey-bar grunt school approached my position it seemed as if someone had turned off the lights. Excellent conditions to convey movement to an image of fish abundance through the use of a slow shutter speed. Ten years ago the local community decided to stop fishing altogether and turned to ecotourism instead, nowadays the fish school sizes are enormous.
Location: Cabo Pulmo National Park, Gulf of California, Mexico.
