The wonders of the aurora borealis or the northern lights in the Canadian wilderness, the northern lights, as the aurora borealis is also known, are a luminous display, alive with shimmering colors that dance across the dark sky. Viewing the aurora borealis leaves me with a very spiritual feeling and a sense of amazement. While the northern lights can be seen year round in Canada, this image was taken during night photography during winter with wind speed howling at 60-80 miles / hour and snow sweeping across in total darkness on the ground.
