A poorly lit main road in the centre of North Korea's showcase capital, Pyongyang can be seen as a huge Fireworks display in celebration of the centenery of North Korea's founder Kim Il Sung are fired from the Taedong river in the distance. North Korea spent vast sums on money on celebrations around April 15th despite the fact the capital still has frequent power cuts, and the country is widely malnourished.
