Happines haircut

The picture is taken in China far away from civilization. I went there to teach in local schools and in one of them I found this beautiful child. Parents told me that this haircut is called "happiness haircut" and it brings happiness to a child in chinese culture, despite this I saw him sad during my whole stay. Happiness and sadness both smudged together on his little face.
