On my many photo missions trying to capture the White Bellied Sea Eagle I came across these little blue birds every morning on Coolum Beach. I have been scouring the internet to find out what they are, but to no avail. What I love about this photo is the wind ruffling up the soft downy feathers on the back of their necks. It was a cold winter morning and around 6am they came to the very edge of the scrub with their backs facing the warmth of the rising sun above the ocean.
