This beautiful, still August sunset in Central Finland was captured 90 minutes after the sunset. At such north altitudes, the sun descends in such a low angle that the "golden window" extends far beyond half an hour, creating deep red colors in the sky. The dark, still lake has a powerful grasp on the image. The lake has got a soul, and it's powerful sense of calm and darkness will embrace the viewer with awe.
