Autumn Passage on First Pond

After photographing some sunrise shots at First Pond I was preparing to leave when I saw this boat approaching my location. I set up my tripod and camera in time to grab a few shots of this outboard as it passed slowly along the opposite shore. The boat's wake created these surprising swirling colors. First Pond is part of the Saranac chain of lakes in New York State's Adirondack Park.
