Just when we thought we had traded the hustle and bustle of Vietnam for the remote offshore world of 1000 + limestone islands, there, nestled in what seemed was the middle of nowhere, a small village of floating homes. Immediately upon seeing our boat, this mother loaded her reluctant child into their boat (which seemed to second as a fruit vendor) and headed straight for us. The child did the yelling, money exchange and baggage. The mother never muttered a word, just an attitude adjusting look was all she need give, to the little girl, working the crowd's pockets and hearts.
