Thailand's Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and aides toast King Bhumibol Adulyadej on his 84th birthday, December 5 2011. On the throne since 1946, the Thai king is the world's longest-serving monarch. His 84th birthday marked the 7th 12 year cycle of his life, making it an additionally-auspicious event in Thai Buddhist cosmology.
