I spotted this Garden Orb Spider on a churchyard lamp post in the middle of Manhattan on a warm July night- Initially I didn't think it was real since I'd never seen an insect this big in New York City before..(well,except for vermin). But as I got closer and zoomed in, I saw her agile legs rapidly spinning a perfect web .
