Starting an evening drive on the Sacramento River in the late spring we saw these "crazy" birds called the Black Necked Stilt flying high up in the air then throwing themselves down into a shallow pond then start the whole routine over again. I spent about 30 minutes trying to get a shot with little success. As the sun went down behind a row of houses, I held my camera steady with the sun in the frame and hoped for the best. Fortunately one popped into the scene giving a feeling of a sunset at the Great Pyramids.
