On the first day of trekking in the Usambara mountains in Tanzania, we left the village of Lushoto on our way to Irente viewpoint, overlooking the vast plane between northern Tanzania and Southern Kenya. The woman was preparing her small shop near the viewpoint for a new day, and doing all the chores with her baby on her back seemed the most natural thing in the world.
