After 13 weeks of backpacking through Indonesia, I decided to spend my last few hours in the district of Galur in Jakarta. This is a very poor part of the city where citizens have taken residence along the train tracks. Indonesian children are all to often depicted as starving, crying, and in deep despair. I don't deny the reality of poverty in Asia but walking through this area I heard music, saw families smiling, and of course came across this little boy who was quite eager to pose for the camera.
