Seaside Waterfalls

In the beaches of Israel there are many erosion shelves - platforms of rock, calcareous sandstone, that have been eroded by the sea and are at about sea level. The Erosion shelf at Palmahim Beach is very large and has very interesting curvy lines. I really love to watch how the waves make it over the shelf, and then the water flows back to the sea in hundreds of tiny waterfalls. The fisherman, standing at what looks to be the edge of the abyss, surely appreciates this beauty as well as he is waiting for the fish to bite.
Location: Palmahim beach, Israel
