I managed to capture the wide-eyed innocence of this young girl while seated in the audience at my child's school day celebrations. My corner seat gave me a good vantage point to see her peeking through the side curtains, while different acts were being performed on stage. The contrasts of the straight angles versus her posture; her soft pink dress versus the stark colours of the theatre curtains, as well as the difference in textures; and the fact that she seemed to be looking straight at the camera, all combined to make me decide to forget about the performance on stage and go for this shot.
