In a colorful and moving still life, a red bottle, green bowl and blue table top create a tableau of life once lived in one of the abandoned hotel rooms of Garnet, Montana, an abandoned mining town from the 1860s. Located in First Chance Creek in western Montana, the town is at the edge of the high desert in the Front Range, but sheltered in a forest, at about 6,000 feet (1,800 m) elevation.
Location: Garnet, Montana, USA
