At the 95th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, a memorial was held at the Vimy Ridge Memorial to Canadian soldiers of World War I in Northern France. As I waited for the ceremony to begin, I captured a young cadet stopping to tie his shoe, contrasting sharply against the sombre memorial.
