Arpoador Beach in Rio de Janeiro is a great spot for night surfing as the beach becomes illuminated by huge floodlights after dark. I arrived there at dusk just in time to catch the best light during my visit to Brazil, with spectacular colors in the sky and the water in the foreground being light by the floodlights. I spent an hour there shooting landscapes but my favorite image was this one of two boys standing on the rocks, looking for the best places to surf.
