Royal Canadian Mounted Police Cst. Theresa Nelson has an unconventional interaction with a group of bikers at a gas station in Edson, Alberta as she receives a bible from Chuck Pearce — pastor of Canada's branch of the Freedom Biker Church. The group of bikers spent a week in July, 2012 riding 3,400 kilometres around B.C. and Alberta as modern-day missionaries raising awareness for addiction recovery. Many of the bikers are former drug users and gang members who have previously been in trouble with police. This photo is part of an essay as I followed the group on their journey.
