Sensō-ji, also known as Asakusa Temple, is situated in the heart of Tokyo. Like Tokyo, Sensō-ji is an extremely busy place, with thousands of visitors passing through the Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) each day. Yet despite the hustle and bustle, a sense of serenity lingers on at altar, where Japanese Buddhists stop to pray to Kannon, Goddess of Mercy.
Location: Sensō-ji, Asakusa Temple, Tokyo, Japan.
