Peaceful sunset at Santorini

One of the beautiful and unique beaches of the greek island Santorini. Santorini island is basically what it remains from a massive volcanic explosion that took place about 3500 years ago in the Aegean sea. This eruption is one of the biggest that have been recorded in human history. The violent forces of nature formed a rough, bizarre scenery all over the island. I don't know how, but somehow this island manages to take you back in time as it gives you the sense that time stopped the moment of the explosion and everything froze under the volcanic terrain that was formed then.

Location: Santorini island, Greece
