This photo was taken in May 2011. I was abord the Allure of the Seas, our last day at sea, when we hear "OSCAR! STARBOARD! OSCAR!" A small vessel seemed to be adrift at sea. It was infact a boat filled with cuban refugees trying to make it to Florida. The Crew of the Allure rescued all members on board the tiny vessel...passangers on the ship were cheering. It was later that day we found out, the persons on the tiny boat were adrift for 9 days and had lost their way. I will never forget the relief I saw in them that day and the sadness I felt when I found out they were returned to Cuba.
