More than a century old, the Flat-Iron is the colloquial name of the red brick Gooderham Building in Toronto. Its the small building with green rooftop in the lower left corner of the photo. A part of old Toronto on the eastern edge of the city's Financial District, close to the St Lawrence Market. With the modern skyscrapers of the Financial District towering behind and overshadowing the 120 year old heritage edifice, its a reflection of how a modern cosmopolitan city grows with the passage of time, from child to adulthood.
