Hills and Hills of Tea

Category: Places

When driving from Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands, Malaysia, the scenery changes from a bustling city full of concrete, buildings and people to one of dense, original growth forest where it seems you are the only one there. Soon, however, the steep mountainsides show signs of human "touch", as the forest gives way to tea plantations. Some of the tea bushes are reportedly close to 70 years old, planted by the British who sought a local supply of tea. Take time to enjoy a cup of tea as you look over the hills from which the very tea leaves were harvested.

Location: Near Brinchang, Cameron Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia
