In Union Square, New York City there was a rally against the rising cost of higher education that also had the participation of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Far from the crowd and the speakers a young woman gestured with a scarf covering her mouth with the words " Speak silence is consent" as a massive pipe in the street vented steam behind her.
