"Pure Joy"

"Pure Joy", Tenarras, Dominican Republic, January, 2011 I called this "Pure Joy" because I was so inspired by the joy the grand-mother and her grand-daughter exuded despite what I knew of the extremely difficult living coniditions in the Dominican Republic. The yellow wall also seemed to be a metaphor for what they were feeling. Their radiant smiles really moved me.
