Melasti - Purification Ceremony The day started with a procession of trucks, cars and buses packed with villagers. The purification ceremony lasted approximately 1 ½ hours, concluding with the customary walk to the water as they offered gifts and prayers. Then with the same precision as their arrival, they went back to their vehicles for a return trip to their village. I love the colorful design of this truck transporting some of the participants back to their village.
