The toughest fight it out everyday to survive in the Namib. That morning, after climbing a few sand dunes, I was walking around looking for anything interesting to photograph. Out of nowhere, this mouse came running out of some thick shrub ahead of me. Behind him, at lightning speed, the Sand Snake rushed out of the bushes and pounced on him at blazing speed and deadly accuracy. I literally scrambled to get my camera to point at the sudden,intense action that unfolded in front of me that early morning. This shot was taken within 5 seconds of the action and the mouse was still very much alive.
