Photo and caption by Ninad Khanapurkar

On our way back from Lachung to Gangtok it was a daytime unlike the time we reached Lachung when it was dark. So while coming back i realised as to who badly the roads had been affected due the previous years earthquake. This photograph was taken from a moving vehicle and as it can be seen almost the whole road was in shambles. As it was washed away by the landslides which happened after the massive earthquake. Major work had been done and is being done by the Border Roads Organization and the army and it is indeed a commendable job which they are doing...

Location: Lachung, North Sikkim, Sikkim, India
