MELASTI- Purification Ceremony is a 3 day yearly ritual that welcomes the Balinese New Year. The ceremony concludes with a customary walk to the water to offer gifts and prayers. There were probably several hundred participants, tourists and photographers crowding the beach during this time, so I'm happy I was able to capture this quiet moment between mother and daughter.
