A shark fin worker quickly works to clear fins that have been drying on a quiet sidewalk in Hong Kong. Over 42,000 pectoral fins were lining the street to dry, equating to over 21,000 sharks, in one street, on one day in Hong Kong. Globally it is quoted that 73 million sharks die each year for shark fin soup and seeing this one street that figure seems certainly realistic.
