Mad Cow

This is the carcass of a cow I found while walking around in the middle of a field near my hometown in Northeast Kansas. As I approached the animal to get a better picture, I noticed that I was standing in a pit of animal remains. Sometimes when their cattle die, farmers have a certain spot on their property where they leave the bodies. Apparently, I found it. While I was making adjustments to take the picture, I looked down to see that inside the body cavity of the cow, a possum had taken over residents inside the remains.
