A Grapple Yarder sits atop a remote logging setting on the Northwest Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Below the yarder, a young "landing man" or "chaser" is positioned to help the operator on the yarding machine with ground work. The Grapple Yarder uses a system of cable and pulleys to move logs up the hillside to be loaded onto large off-road logging trucks.
