It is fall and the Barred Owls are back. Raking leaves in my backyard I heard a hoot and dropped the rake, grabbed my camera and went into the trails behind my house. So hard to spot, but then I saw it, high up in the Garry Oaks. As I was peering through my lens, getting a fix on it, it flew and I followed capturing it in flight.
