The silky white trail of oil smoke from the exhaust of a Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds Tudor jet sets itself against the squall line of an approaching storm. There are no direct indications of human presence, except for the smoke trail and the tautly posed orange windsock. But the struggle between the natural and synthetic worlds couldn't be more apparent.
