There is nothing better than contemplating your space and time on earth than viewing a northern lights eruption over Lake Superior, just the lake and the lights. This view on this night is from my back yard, on the south shore of Lake Superior in Marquette Michigan. An m class flare delivered a spectacular display of northern lights for hours. You can see a passing freighter on the horizon for scale. I wonder how it must have looked to them out in the middle of green and glowing gichigumi
