- I came across this sled dog team within the first hour of a weekend long hunting trip near Pond Inlet. Situated on the Northern tip of Baffin Island, sights like these are quite common. This photograph was taken as they focused intently on their owner while he rummaged through his belongings. Sled dogs are resilient and wild but still resemble the loving qualities of a domestic dog to their owners. They live on the ice throughout the winter and feed mainly on raw seal meat. With the Bylot Island Mountains in the background and their intense stare in my direction, I knew I had something great.

- Once again the blacknose sharks arrived at the Lost Blue Hole in the Bahamas to mate. As one of my favorite events was taking place in June, I dropped down to 130 feet in the dark, with the only light being the early morning sun above me. I hovered in place as hundred torpedo shaped sharks emerged from the dark. This year I was ready and had my camera set to take this picture.

I was very lucky of sighting and photographing Malaika the name of female Cheetah and her cub . she is well known for its habit to jump on vehicles. She learned that from her mother Kike, and Kike from her mother Amber.Like her mother she is teaching lessons to her cub . Teaching lessons means addition of another moment for tourist . This is one of the tender moment between Malaika and her cub . I was very lucky to capture that moment .

- The "random walk" or "drunkard walk" is the basic process in random process theory, where every step is random and does not depend on the former step. It has expressions in mathematics, science, economics and engineering. The pattern on the leaf, made by the walk of a beetle or a caterpillar, is an example of this process in nature.

- A herd of elephants had come down to drink, and I wanted something a little different. I zoomed into all the busy trunks that were making the trips from the water to the mouths, and waited for a good composition. Many frames later, I found the composition I was looking for.

- Leopards in trees have been photographed extensively, so I tried something different. I wanted to show the height of the leopard in the tree, as well as the last of the beautiful fall colours. I like the way the branches seem to be reaching up tot he tail, and the tail reaching back down.

- Penguins making the most of the scarce land and raising their chicks in a dense grid of nests. The distance between nests is strictly determined by the maximum distance an adult penguin can expel his poo. Chinstrap penguins are able to generate considerable pressure to propel their faeces away from their nest. Polar scientists Meyer-Rochow and Jozsef Gal calculate the pressure at around 10 kPa, well above that known for humans and permitting the 60 cm tall penguins to defecate as far as 40 cm away from their nest. The reason for this behavior remains unknown.

- This photo is from a scene quite incredible that I saw a few days ago. A dragonfly (sympetrum) further weakened by the freshness of the morning came deliberatly hang this praying mantis which was laid on a flower stem broken that I was photographing. I shot some great macros this summer, but I must say that this was the most amazing that I saw, because we have here the eater and the eaten but in a configuration that isn't expected.

- Sunset Cloud Village is one of the most picturesque places in Red Land, China. As its name indicates, it's best to see before sunset. The reddish brown soil turns redder after raining and after farmers plow the land.
