- If you are lucky, you can see over 150 kilometers on a clear day standing atop Mary's Peak. On the day of this shot, visibility was clear, and the Pacific Ocean (75 kilometers away) was illuminated by a setting sun, framed perfectly by seemingly infinite layers and shades of mountains in the Oregon Coast range.

- Sunset time, a peaceful burnt woods just surround you quietly. Together with your heart beating, you can feel the smooth breeze and hear the sounds of emerging exuberance underneath. The perfect ending is in the endless. The picture was taken in Yellowstone National Park. Turning themselves into such strong remaining, the woods have given hopes to their next generation through a wildfire.

- I met this Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus)on Bearisland (Bjørnøya)in the Svalbard archipelago. It was very curious about researchers working on the and visited our camp regularly. One day on my way to the Great skua colony where I was working I noticed the fox was following me. I couldn't risk it would chase me into the research area so I turned the tables and started following it. It became a fantastic adventures and a unique experience walking and playing with this curious and clever animal following it throuh out the day untill it got tired and fell a sleep about 2 meters away.

- Elephants at the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala, Sri Lanka. The orphanage was originally founded in order to afford care and protection to the many orphaned elephants found in the jungle. As of 2003, there were 65 elephants. Since the captive breeding program was launched in 1982, over twenty elephants have been born. The aim of the orphanage is to simulate the natural world. However, there are some exceptions: the elephants are taken to the river twice daily for a bath, and all the babies under three years of age are still bottle fed by the mahouts and volunteers.
