- This photo was captured while climbing the stairs of Wat Doi Suthep in Northern Thailand. Normally these costume girls gather together to wait for the coming tourists to pose for spare change. While taking a short break from the climb I noticed a lone girl singing to herself in the shade by the dragon staircase. This shot is the result of that moment.

- This is a picture very close to my heart, of my best friend Bridget (age 18) and her sister Christina (age 16). Even though they are so close in age, they're worlds apart: while Bridget is a Yale premed with a 4.0, Christina has severe Down Syndrome and consequently has an exceptional ability to see the good in anyone and everyone. We'd been playing around with face paint and were laughing at the mess we'd made of Bridget's face. Here Christina looks intently into her sister's eyes. Despite their differences, these girls could not be any closer. They mean the world to each other.

- Together with my friend David Castro, we were diving with a large group of Bigeye travellies at Cabo Pulmo National Park, Mexico. Thousands of fish forming a ball during the reproduction courtship. In the afternoon, these fish congregate to form a large spawning aggregation around the reefs of the National Park.
