- Night workers prepare to board a ferry in the Japanese port of Aomori. It feels sort of ominous, as if the workers are waiting for something to emerge from the depths of the boat.

- I found myself in Barliyas, a guest of the King. The language barrier made it difficult and fun at the same time. I wish I had more of a story, but I was having tea with the men of the village, the women standing curiously in the background. I saw their beautiful colors, some concealing their faces, others not. I wanted o shoot them together, as one. Luckily the only wall around big enough was the perfect, mute wall I was able to capture them on.

- These three boys were sitting in the bus shelter in Suffolk Park which is an area found just outside Byron Bay. The posters indicate just how prolific entertainment is in the area, and the boys show the fashion of the time. I saw the middle boy sitting by himself and after driving away and deciding to come back the other two boys had arrived. Byron Bay locals often dislike the presence of all the tourists, and older boys have been known to be involved in altercations on the main street at night.
