- I was traveling Italy with my two boys, ages 13 & 11. We live in Dubai and very rarely see the rain and experienced it only for a brief moment in Florence, Italy in August. We ran to the hotel window with excitement and across the street was this lovely elderly woman giving, what I can only imagine to be, thanks to Mother Nature for the much needed water.

- Mikail the Watchmaker passed his days with them, he fixed the time behind the watches. He was an old man but he liked his job, both his life and time fixing, everybody loved him.

- This 16 years old man go by the Tazanian-Zambian Railway back from Zambia to Daressalam (Tanzania) because he`s parents live there. He told me that he go by school in the nothern province of Zambia and now he have holidays and he is going back home to his family on this 2000 km long ride. We talked about his visions for Africa: to bring the ecomomic situation up, freedom and social problems. I never saw a so young man with this one who talked so reflected about the situation in a country.

- The integral part of every alpine climb is the approach to the climbing route. On this photograph a rope team of mountaineers departs from their camp on Glacier Blanche towards the south summits of Mont Blanc Massif. In the background, the sun rises above the iconic summits of Grand Jorasses, Aiguille Rochefort and Deant du Geant.

- As a part of my on going project titled "The Couch Series", I photographed these two well respected elders in Pond Inlet, Nunavut. Their love was so vibrant that you could mistake them for newlyweds. It was a true blessing to step foot into a home that showed so many signs of life and love.

- Fifteen-year-old Santana Alhassan Suidu burns a bundle of cords to expose the precious copper wires to sell in the Agbogbloshie slum outside the Ghanaian capital of Accra. Suidu arrived in Agbogbloshie five years ago and only makes $3.35 for every 225 pounds of wire burned. He sends most of his money to his family but has only been able to visit them once since he moved away.
