- Haitian women in trance during a voodoo ceremony in Souvenance, Haiti. Every Easter for over 200 years, thousands of devotees of voodoo make a pilgrimage, traveling to the Haitian village of Souvenance, 145km north from Port Au Prince, capital city of Haiti. Voodoo is one of three state-recognized religions in Haiti.

- Abraham is a young man of 14 who lives in the Afar region of Ethiopia; one of the hottest inhabited places on Earth. He lives a harsh existence faced by violent tribal rivalry, constant drought, and extreme weather conditions. He is an amazing young man who loves to learn; he walks a 14km round trip to and from the local school each day and aspires to continue his education. He is a strong character, who works hard and has his own opinions, creating his own path in life with his wonderful sense of fun, adventure and mischief.

- This particular battle takes place during the traditional parade of Città della Pieve. The three Terzieri challenge each other with blows of bags of flour in a spectacular and chaotic battle in which fly in a few minutes quintals of flour. The air quickly becomes saturated of flour and in some moments is difficult to breathe.

- During the Libyan revolt again Muammar Qaddafi, the city of Benghazi was liberated early on, and became the base for the rebels and the transitional governing body. Armed rebels were seen all over the place. Many of them had no previous war experience but joined the revolt willingly to get rid of the regime. This rebel, with his spick span boots and outfit, was gaurding the old shipyard.

- He remembers the Japanese passing through during WWII. He was spear fisherman then, and still today at around 80 years old (he does not know how old he is), he remains a spear fisherman. He earns little from his catch maybe 2-3 dollars a day for spending hours in the water. This time in the water however,is keeping him young. A boxers physique of a young 20 something, and able to hold is breathe for at least 2 minutes while chasing fish with no fins. I could barely keep up with him and I had fins on.
