- During low tide on the coastline of Bagamoyo, Tanzania, many local workers and fishermen unload the cargo from the Dhow ships as they are stuck in the sand. In this photograph, taken during a hot morning in front of Bagamoyo's abandoned Customs House, a young fisherman takes a break while his partner works fixing the bottom right side of the boat. In the distance, local people pick clams from the sea floor while the water is out.

- Coconut and palm trees submerged in water as a result of cyclone Neelam. While the world was busy following Hurricane Sandy and the US Presidential Elections, the Eastern Coast of India faced its own natural disaster. Cyclone Neelam caused a bout of flash floods in the state of Andhra Pradesh which displaced roughly 68,000 people and caused damage to 500,000 hectares of agricultural land.
