BOTSWANA: Okavango Delta
An elephant splashes in a pool in the Okavango River. Playtime was especially welcome to these rescued animals owned by Randall J. Moore, an elephant trainer. Some of his charges once lived in enclosures in American zoos; others lost their mothers in African game parks. Now they carry camera-toting visitors on safaris.
