Whale of a Ride
Swim trunks, turbans, the night sky, and a whale set the stage for bandleader Guy Lombardo’s floating production of Arabian Nights in 1954. For Lombardo it was the beginning of a Jones Beach, New York, summer tradition that lasted for more than 20 years.
