They're those corners of the world that you just can't get out of your mind. Places so special, or just plain weird, that they take on their own personalities. National Geographic scoured the United States to include just such places in its ZipUSA series.
This month visit the buzzing commercial nucleus of Tysons Corner, Virginia, where entrepreneurs thrive and the shopping is to die for.
Other zips in the works range from a small Ohio town invaded by student photographers to a spot in Idaho where the super-rich compete with spuds for space.
